Laurin Talese

Vocalist Laurin Talese has appeared in a host of national and international venues such as The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Philadelphia's Academy of Music, The National, and, most recently, in front of a sold-out crowd at Philadelphia’s Kimmel Center, among many others. In 2016, she released her debut album, Gorgeous Chaos, to wide acclaim. The recording features modern-day jazz elite such as Robert GlasperChristian McBrideUlysses Owens Jr.Christian Sands, and longtime collaborator Eric Wortham II, to name a few, and was recognized as one of the top albums of 2016 by The Chicago Tribune and Soul Tracks; it also ranked highly on three Billboard Jazz charts.

Last year, Talese performed in the 2017 GRAMMYS telecast, as well as the Capital SuperJazz Cruise (with India Arie, Will Downing, Earl Klugh, Jonathan Butler, Mike Phillips, among several others), and Art of Cool Festival (AOC) in Durham, NC. She also received the 2017 Jazz Vocalist Award by The Philadelphia Clef Club of Jazz and Performing Arts.
